Brisk Walking Reduces Stroke Risk in Older Women

Women 45 years and older can reduce their risk of stroke by walking briskly for 2 hours or more a week. While the study found any “leisure-time physical activity to be associated with lower stroke risk in women,” what matters is that the activity burns approximately 1,500 calories each week.
