Red Meat Vindicated?

So, which is more unhealthy: red meat or processed meat? A recent study may provide an answer. Frustrated by mixed findings, researchers compared studies and found that processed meats, rather than unprocessed red meat, was guilty of increasing health risks. “Processed meat intake was associated with a 42% higher risk of CHD (coronary heart disease) and 19% higher risk of diabetes mellitus.” The consumption of unprocessed red meat was not found to increase the risk of either.
