Both Diet and Exercise Important for Senior Fitness

Yes, diet and exercise can have significant impact on older people. A study that examined the impact of diet and exercise (separately and combined) on the physical health of seniors has found that greater increased physical status was seen by the diet & exercise group (21 percent) than the diet group (12 percent) or the exercise group (15 percent). Interestingly enough, “body weight decreased by 10% in the diet group and by 9% in the diet–exercise group, but did not decrease in the exercise group or the control group.”
