FDA Warns of Possible Rare Breast Cancer From Breast Implants

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a warning that “although ALCL (Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma) is extremely rare, the FDA believes that women with breast implants may have a very small but increased risk of developing this disease in the scar capsule adjacent to the implant.” ALCL is a non-Hodgkins form of blood cancer.
