The study found that “evidence for a dose-response relationship between tanning bed use and the risk of skin cancers, especially BCC (basal cell carcinoma), and the association is stronger for patients with a younger age at exposure.” This means that the more you use tanning beds, especially at a younger age, the more likely you are to experience skin cancer.

Our bodies need sunlight to be healthy. Care should be taken to get regular natural sunlight at durations and intensities that will not cause burning and eventual skin cancer.
