Cognitive Ability: Use It or Lose It
A new study found that people who continue to challenge their mental faculties keep their cognitive abilities more than people who don’t. Not surprisingly, “the results suggest that more frequent mental stimulation in old age leads to better cognitive functioning.”
Researchers note that the specific activity is not important, as long as it stimulates the various aspects of thought, communication, problem solving, etc. Something to think about as you and your loved ones grow older.
