Variety Lowers Risk of Diabetes

We all know to eat a good amount of fruits and veggies every day. But a new study found that eating a variety of fruits and vegetables is also important to maintaining health.

Researchers found that those who ate more fruits and vegetables were able to reduce their risk of type 2 diabetes by as much as 21%. But eating a variety had an even greater impact with those eating a greater variety of vegetables reducing the diabetes risk by 23%, eating a greater variety of fruits reduced the risk by 30% and eating a greater variety of both reduced the diabetes risk by 39%.

Researchers noted that “these findings suggest that a diet characterized by a greater quantity of vegetables and a greater variety of both fruit and vegetable intake is associated with a reduced risk of type 2 diabetes.”

    Been using the Paleolithic diet to counter the effects of diabetes and so far I couldn’t be any happier with how I am feeling right now. It’s easy to follow for new beginners in any forms of diet but it has the benefits that you will need to live a healthy life.
