Watch & Record What You Eat
The old adage to “watch what you eat” was actually good advice when coupled with recording what you eat. A recent study found that overweight or obese older women who keep a food journal were able to lose more than 10% of their body weight on average.
But this is not the only factor that can help with weight loss. Researchers noted that “a greater focus on dietary self-monitoring, home-prepared meals, and consuming meals at regular intervals may improve 12-month weight loss among postmenopausal women enrolled in a dietary weight loss intervention.”
