Vitamin D deficiency appears to play a role among critically ill children. Sufficient Vitamin D is “important for the proper functioning of multiple organ systems.” In reviewing the results, researchers note that “Vitamin D deficiency was independently associated with a longer PICU (pediatric intensive care unit) length of stay (+1.92 days) and increasing severity of illness…” The researchers concluded that “this study provides evidence that vitamin D deficiency is both common among critically ill children and associated with greater severity of critical illness.”

Ask your doctor of chiropractic to review your children’s spinal and nutritional health. It will make a big difference to their future.
