Sitting Hazardous to Your Health
A number of studies have demonstrated that sitting increases all-death mortality as well as potentially shortens your lifespan. Another study adds more specific potential hazards in that “sedentary time (sitting) is associated with an (112%) increased risk of diabetes, (147% increased risk) cardiovascular disease and cardiovascular and (49% increased risk) all-cause mortality.”
At this point the evidence is pretty conclusive. The more you sit, the less healthy you are.
