Researchers monitored the eating habits of 93,600 women 25 to 42 years of age for 4 years, with an additional 18 years of follow-up. They found that “combined intake of 2 anthocyanin-rich foods, blueberries and strawberries, tended to be associated with a decreased risk of MI (myocardial infarction or heart attack).”
