Cardio Makes Teens Smarter… Now and Later
Are your teens getting the cardiovascular exercise they need?
A study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (U.S.) has found that cardiovascular fitness is “positively associated” with intelligence. Specifically, the authors note that “Cardiovascular fitness changes between ages 15 and 18 (years) predicted cognitive performance at 18 (years).” Cardiovascular fitness at age 18 is thought to predict educational achievements later in life.
From personal experience, I know that consistent cardio workouts require consistent chiropractic care. If not, a person will eventually see their cardio workouts exacerbate a subluxation.
