Blueberry Juice for Seniors
Blueberry juice can have significant, positive impact on memory in older adults.
A preliminary study has discovered that the consumption of blueberry juice can have significant results for older adults with early memory changes. The authors found that “the findings of this preliminary study suggest that moderate-term blueberry supplementation can confer neurocognitive benefit…” In addition, subjects experienced “trends suggesting reduced depressive symptoms.”
While these results are still preliminary, they point to the possibility that a natural solution exists for cognitive impairment in older adults. Until a comprehensive study is conducted, I’m going to continue eating my blueberries.
