Musculoskeletal injuries Can Also Cause Cognitive Impairment

Concussions are not the only type of injury that can cause cognitive impairment in athletes. Researchers have found that “athletes with musculoskeletal injuries also display a degree of cognitive impairment as measured by computerized tests.”

    My wife is a Neuropsychologist. We have some interesting discussions about the relationships between cognition and physical movement which of course are both essentially patterns of activity in the central nervous system.
